Dwellers of Tanganyika [part 1]

The scene is Tanzania, specifically Tarangire National park and Serengeti. I recently did a little safari there that had me in the midst of all these country dwellers. I got to be within 10 meters of this giant elephant that was upset at a group of tourists that was talking loud and taking pictures so he charged, my heart skipped. More for fear than bravery, I just sat down and kept shooting(those photos you shall see later). One of the days while walking in the evening from dinner to my room, a buffalo is chilling on the road, I bargained for a minute on whether he would notice me but decided not to bargain and went back to dinner till I found some braver(or stupider) men to walk with.

All in all it was a lovely experience that I hope you shall enjoy via these few photos.

I even met up with Moto Moto, but he was too hot(literally) to hang out with me.

  Hey Chase. It’s a wonderful place. I do hope you get to visit. I also wish I could say I stayed long waiting for the perfect shot. I was with a group of tourists & unfortunately we couldn’t stay too long at one spot. God led my lens I suppose. Some I got, some I didn’t. Great shots I love the Elephants under the trees spectacular as well as the baboons, I recently went to durban and was lucky to go to a game reserve, no big five though, its all in my blog.

Today though being Halloween I saw some classic people at the Melbourne Zombie Shuffle Australia.

Aren’t the animals beautiful there. I visited those 2 parks 2 summers ago and they blew my mind away. I can really relate to the heart skipping moment of getting charged by an elephant, we got between the mother and calf. You captured all the animals so beautifully. I wish I had such beautiful pictures to remember my trip. YOu have inspired me to take more pictures myself,

I don’t know yet how come that you are able to take so many pictures of wild animals ( it’s really intriguing) but I’m going to have a look at your About page later.

I also wanted to tell you that this picture on the top of the page does a lot to hold attention. I honestly forgot why I opened the page ( I found it on Freshly Pressed) and just kept staring at the picture trying to figure out what’s happening there and why it looks so cool.

Very well done! Encounters with these wild animals were a truly dramatic experience in my life as it appears it was yours. The elephant shot reminds me of the closeness of so many elephants in Lake Manyara National Park. I was also able to get some sequence shots of a giraffe getting up and down on the plain next to the lake. I’ll look forward to seeing the 2nd part of your photos.

My photos are more about the humans living in and around Arusha.
