Tasty Tuesday – Some sort of Chicken sandwich
Hey guys. Your favorite post of the week, Tasty Tuesday is here ha ha. This is a very simple sandwich that seems to be of stuff thrown in to form something. You shall need
- Chicken(as much as you want, really), I used half a chicken since we are 2.
- 1 red ripe tomato
- 2 onions
- Cheese(use your favorite cheese), just make sure it melts down when heated.
- Ciabatta rolls, as I said we are 2 so I got 2 rolls.
- Mayonaise
- Dhania(is it corriander?)
- Some salt and a collection of seasoning & spices as shall be seen in the photos(clearly this blog is not about the food but the photography)
Boil your chicken with a little oil and herbs(I used basil), boil until done.
For the paste. Chop the dhania into fine bits, mayo, garlic, a teaspoon of vinegar and a few herbs.
Mix them into a smooth paste like this.
Split your ciabatta rolls into two. By the way, I got these from cake plaza at 40ksh each…i think.
Apply the paste generously on the rolls.
Remember the chicken we boiled? Good, shred it into small pieces like this then fry it with onions and a little garlic and add tomatoes for a little color. Cook until flavor is well infused.
Back to the rolls. First toast them on a pan(battered side down) until they get toasty. Place the cheese slices on the toasted side and keep the rolls on the grilling pan so that the heat softens the cheese. Keep the heat low.
Add the chicken onto the sandwich(still on the fire).
That’s the end of the assembly line. Once the cheese softens or fully melts, the sandwich is ready for gobbling.

So there we go. If anything is not clear, remember you are here for the photos not the technical food stuff…I don’t know half of what I wrote there. Ha! Do have a tasty Tuesday, wont you?

Mouth watering!
